How to install the XCSM Android app (outside Google Play)

Android blocks unknown installers by default. You download XCSM-app.apk from the signed-in web (client.xdata.id or xcsm.xdata.id) or from inside the XCSM Android app. It is not on Google Play. A new APK installs over the old app — you do not need to uninstall first.

  1. Sign in to client.xdata.id or xcsm.xdata.id. Open Download XCSM APK (next to Open XCSM, or in the XCSM header).
  2. Save the file on the phone. Chrome usually puts it in Downloads as XCSM-app.apk.
  3. Open the file. If Android asks to allow install from Chrome or Files, tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
  4. On some phones: Settings → Security → Install unknown apps → choose Chrome or Files → allow. You can turn that off again after install.
  5. Tap Install, then Open. Sign in with your XCSM email and password. Notifications turn on automatically.
